Any body recommend Family Hotels near Disneyland in Anaheim, CA?

Almost every hotel in Anaheim, California near Disneyland is family friendly. If you stay at a Disneyland Hotel or Disneyland partner hotel, you can get special discounts on booking hotels and park tickets at the same time on the Disneyland web site. Also, if you stay at a Disneyland Hotel, you will be close enough to the park to walk, however, if you stay at a hotel further away from Disneyland, make sure that it is on the Anaheim Resort Transit Route so you will be able to inexpensively get a ride to Disneyland without driving (to avoid paying parking at both your hotel and at Disneyland). As for kid friendly hotels, there are many in the area. Here is a list of the most familiar ones that are kid friendly and located in the Anaheim area.



Disney's Grand Californian Hotel - owned by Disney. They have a multiple swimming pools, water slides, a children's pool, a children's jacuzzi, portable cribs, suites that can sleep up to six people, on site restaurant and cafes with kids menus, and a great program called Pinocchio's Workshop for children ages 5-12 that offers board games, craft projects, movies, and storytelling in the evenings beginning at 5p.m.



Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel - another Disney owned hotel. They have a pool on the roof, yes the roof, with a water slide, they have free movies for children at their Paradise Theater, both of their restaurants on site have kids menu's, they also have cribs if you need one during your stay.



Disneyland Hotel - another Disney owned hotel, the original Disney Hotel in Anaheim. They have kids menus at their restaurants and cages, refrigerators in every room, suites as large as three bedrooms, cribs, rollaway beds, swimming pools including a kiddie pool, a sandy beach play area, a children's playground, a lagoon with remote controlled boats, Disney films while you check in, and Disney characters visit in the afternoons.



Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Anaheim - they have a children's wading pool, a water play ground, give kids free activity packs when they check in, rooms have refrigerators, their restaurant has children's menu, they have a laundry room that is coin operated, rollaway beds, cribs, babysitting services if you book them ahead of time, and a convenience store that caters to kid treats like juice boxes and junk food as well as healthier choices like milk and fruit.



Park Vue Inn - refrigerators in every room, microwaves in every room, special two room family suites, complimentary breakfast on the terrace, swimming pool, cribs, rollaway beds

If you want some bargains, try some of the hotels near Knotts Berry Farm (Buena Park) which is some 5 miles away. Although some may offer a shuttle service, I would only recommend these only if you are going to rent or have a car. In that area, they have Knott's, their water park, a Ripley s Believe it or Not, and dinner theaters: Medieval Times, and Pirates.

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn Marriott (1460 S Harbor Blvd) in December and it was great! Clean, quiet, had a great pool and lots of Disney themed decorations in the room. It was walking distance to the main entrance of Disneyland which was so nice!
