I'm trying to put together a short Disneyland trip in a couple of weeks and we are on a tight budget. What are some cheap hotels that either are in a short walking distance of Disneyland or have shuttles to Disneyland? Thanks!Cheap hotels near Disneyland???
Like someone else stated I too like Howard Johnson (hojo's) and if you become a member of Laughingplace.com you save an additional 15% off of there rates it is right at the front entrance so it is not far away at all. The other one I have stayed at is Red Roof Inn and is about a 10-15 walk and they also have transportation to and from the hotel's we just walked because it wasn't bad and we didn't have to stop at all the other hotels on the route, it runs about $50.00-$62.00 a night depending on the day of the week. Motel 6 Main gate is about $44.00 if you book online through their web site and $49.00 if not. It is one of Disneyland's Good Neighbor hotel's and is within walking distance I do hope this helps you !
I always recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) and the Candy Cane Inn. While some hotels are closer, these two are very close to the front entrance, so you can walk back to the hotel for a swim or a nap in the afternoon. They are a step above the other hotels in the immediate area in terms of rooms, service, pool, and value. The HoJo recently added a themed pool, the only one outside the Disneyland Resort property.

Disney has a working relationship with most of the hotels surrounding the parks. The first link is from Disney and delineated into economic categories, and all the hotels listed are within a mile of the park, I believe.
The second link is move extensive, but doesn't have live links to the hotel website or reservations. It also provides info on hotels that are within walking distance of the parks.
Anaheim also has a Disney-exclusive transport system, where shuttles or buses pick-up/return guests from nearby hotels. The cost is $3-4 per day, per person, and you can make the arrangements with the hotel front desk or concierge.
