I'll stay 3 nights in LA and looking for the hotel near Disneyland or Universal Studio. Any suggestion for my trip plan (no driving car) ? THANKSHow long %26amp; how much from Disneyland to Universal Studio by Metro?
Disneyland is in Anaheim and Universal is in Universal (like North Hollywood. You may want to see if there is a shuttle that can take you from Anaheim to Universal. Its roughly an hour driving with no traffic. But that's never in L.A. taxi will be kinda expensive too. You can take the bus but in L.A. but i don't think there is a metro line(Subway) that runs from both sides of town!! Good luck and really really really see if you can a hold of a car in L.A.
The red line serves Universal City from LA's Downtown (of course, there are many LA residents who have never been Downtown, period), but there is no Metro to the Disneyland Resort.
No car in LA = don't expect to go anywhere fast. Everything in LA was built with the automobile in mind. Including shopping centers and restaurants, which are spaced far away from each other and with ample parking lots.
In fact, Disneyland doesn't even bother giving public transit information in any of its advertising. How long %26amp; how much from Disneyland to Universal Studio by Metro?
You can purchase a shuttle with your tickets. If you purchase a package with Disneyland, they will give you the option to buy just tickets, tickets with transfers, or tickets with transfers and deluxe tour. I also believe they have this if you just book tickets.
You could also purchase the passport from Disney for transfers. They offer a bus that goes to several attractions in the area as well as universal. It is about $100 per person.
Hope this helps!
there's no public transport for this exact journey, but check with your travel agent as you maybe able to arrange a shuttle transport through your hotel.
From the Anaheim Station, take the MetroLink to Union Station. An adult fare would cost $6.75
From Union Station, take the Red Line (North Hollywood) to Universal Station. An adult fare would cost $1.25
Estimated time: 1 hour and 25 minutes
