I really want to go to disneyland this summer with my friends but I don't have a lot of money. Does anyone know of cheap hotels near disneyland? one with public transportation to disneyland or walking distance. Do you have any tips on how to not spend a lot there? There are a lot of hotel/motels around Disneyland that offer pretty cheap rates in comparison to what Disney hotels cost. Some of them even offer something called a Good Neighbor package where you save a little money on your room, and Disneyland tickets as well ( I don't know if this is still in effect, but it was a year ago). Also, a great feature about getting a hotel around Disneyland is that it is either within walking distance, or it offers a FREE shuttle to Disneyland. (:
As for not spending a lot of money at Disneyland, I would opt to not eat every meal inside the park. There are plenty of more reasonably priced restaurants nearby. However, if you do choose to eat in the park, places such as Red Rockett's Pizza Port offer a little more food, for a little less money.

Cheapest hotels within walking distance are the Alpine Inn and the Anaheim Islander Inn.
Personally, I like the HoJo and the Candy Cane Inn.
