Disneyland paris?

planning to visit paris frm 11th of april with two kids aged 1.5 and 4 ,how many days are enuff with emphasis being on disneyland ?also which area shud we book the hotel in near disneyland or sum cheap one in paris the difference being around 50%???also which attractions are must see in paris?

I would recommend skipping Euro-Disney. Honestly. Disney World in Orlando is much, much better and larger than one in Paris. You'll be in Paris and there are so many more amazing and interesting sites to see and things to do than Disney.



If you are looking for fun activities for kids, definately check out Park France Miniature. It's a 5 hectare park of mini French cities, monuments and landmarks that are represented in great detail but all in miniature. It even has its own tiny TGV railway running through it. Also, it's only a stone鈥檚 throw away from breath taking Versailles home of both Louis XIV the Sun King and Marie Antionette.



Make sure you see Versailles while you are out in that area. It is absolutely breathtaking. Your children will enjoy the famous white Lipizzaner Stallions performance at Versailles. These horses do spectacular leaps and maneuvers, once used by riders in saddle to protect and defend themselves on the battlefield. It's like watching a great ballet but all on horseback.



To get a sneak peak of what Versailles looks like, rent the Academy Award-winning 2006 film Marie Antionette directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Kristen Dunst. The production crew was given unprecedented access to the Palace of Versailles including the famous Hall of Mirrors.



In addition to the typical tourist sites like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, make sure you check out the Paris Opera building: Op茅ra Garnier. You can tour the building during the day. It's a very ornate building richly decorated with friezes, columns, and winged figures among other statues and embellishments. This richness continues inside with velvet, gold leaf, and nymphs and cherubs and grand staircases. The auditorium's central chandelier weighs over six tons, and its ceiling was painted in 1964 by Chagall. It's just beautiful! The Phantom of the Opera is a French novel adapted many times into film %26amp; stage productions. This Opera building ewas the inspiration for that novel due to the underground water from the foundation pit of the building, which created a huge subterranean lake. The employees claimed the opera house is haunted by a mysterious ghost and the story was born.



Right behind the Opera building are the Galeries Lafayette which is a 10 story gallery of gorgeous high end shops, the building has a beautiful glass and steel dome, and Art Nouveau staircase built in 1912 by the architect Cahnautin. The building is also a historivcal monument.



Try to spend a sunny, day strolling lazily through St Germain and the Latin Quarter. Lots of narrow, cobblestone streets, cafes, bakeries, patisseries and quaint boutiques. A very unusual shop to peek into while in St Germain is bizarre, high-end, elaborate taxidermy shop called Deyrolle. To describe it as a taxidermy shop hardly does it justice though. The shop sells and rents taxidermy-ed tigers, lions, zebras, elephants, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, birds...everything you can think of. You can rent or purchase them. All of the animals died from natural causes and have been donated by farms and preserves. It's like visiting a natural history museum.

I would say to dedicate two days to Disneyland Paris. There is a lot to see, and also a lot of waiting and with small children you will be restricted. For going to Disney, it is best to stay in one of the Disney hotels. they are too expensive and offer free shuttles to the gates. i think they have one called Santa Fee which is their lowest priced.



Things to do in Paris. This is really going to depend on what you enjoy doing. There is always the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, etc. Maybe a day trip out to Chartres, or Rhiems.
