I want a hotel near Disneyland, but can't afford Anaheim. I'm getn Courtyard, Cypress. Inputs on hotel/area?

There are reasonably priced hotels / motels in the Anaheim area, you just have to look for them, but if you prefer looking in Cypress, that's fine. So too would be cities such as Fullerton, Buena Park, and Garden Grove. Stanton is okay, but has several industrial areas. All these cities are just a few miles drive to Anaheim. Avoid Santa Ana, its a sanctuary city for illegal aliens.I want a hotel near Disneyland, but can't afford Anaheim. I'm getn Courtyard, Cypress. Inputs on hotel/area?
there are about 10,000 hotels/motels around dizzyland.

take previous posters advise, stick with the chains. unless you can find something with a good rating on hotels.com

if you have AAA, see if they offer discounts.
I stay at this hotel frequently while in Orange County on business. Nothing fancy, but it is always clean and neat %26amp; relatively quiet. I beleive they also have a shuttle to Disneylan; if not, the bus goes right by the hotel toward Disneyland, and is pretty cheap. Also, Knotts Berry farm is about 1/2 mile directly south of this hotel; another (smaller) amusement park within OC.

Nieghborhood here is not bad, but keep in mind that, as in any big metropolitan area, you need to take typical precautions to ensure your safety.

I think you will find you enjoy your stay!I want a hotel near Disneyland, but can't afford Anaheim. I'm getn Courtyard, Cypress. Inputs on hotel/area?
The problem with getting a hotel near Disneyland is that people rent the crappy hotels because of the demand. I would suggest that if you do not stay close to the park and you are near a freeway. There are some "shady" neighborhoods within 5-10 miles from the parks. Look on neutral websites such as www.tripadvisor.com that have feedback for various hotels.

You may just have to pay for the hotel. I would highly suggest getting an Entertainment Book for Orange County because you will be able to save on a lot of things that you will need during your trip.

I could help you more if I knew when you were traveling, if you will have a car, and what you are expecting to pay for lodging.
depending on the amount of money you want to spend or save plus the distance you want to travel back and forth to the park, check some hotel websites and do a search on Anaheim plus or minus 10-15 miles and see what comes up. Most hotel chains have websites that you can do this from.

even Yahoo Travel is a good place to start to see what is in the area

If you belong to AAA, ask them. They have the scoop on all the hotels in different areas and they can find you one in your price range and distance.
