Whats the scariest thing to happen to you? maybe paranormal?

I have two stories:

I was about 5 or 6 years old, and I was in Belks because my mother needed to exchange her flats for another pair. I was sitting down, and then I got up at walked around. I heard a really loud noise, it was audible throughout the store. inexplainably, a shoes flew off of the rack. It didn't fall, it flew across the shoe department maybe 10 feet away from where it started. Needless to say, I ran out. That same night we went home, and our garage door was moving by itself. It went up, down, up and down really fast then slow. We called the repairman and he said nothing was wrong.

I went on a class trip to Jekyll Island and we stayed in the 4H center. The place we slept was an old slaves motel if I'm not mistaken. Whilst in the shower, my shampoo flung itself and hit the door. I ran out naked, and my chaperone said it was because of "water pressure". I don't think water pressure causes a bottle to be flung five feet away towards a door at breakneck speed and land straight up.

Tell me your stories :DWhats the scariest thing to happen to you? maybe paranormal?
Well. My father's house has been in the family for years. Two people have died on the land, and the land was once an Indian burial ground. So, you can imagine, we get some "drifters" as I like to call them. One month we wont have any sort of activity, and the next you hear furniture moving, doors closing, and feet stomping. .

One time, a few years back, I was sleeping on the couch downstairs in the living room, when I was woken up almost out of blue. (There are many explanations for that, but lets just go on with the story.) Anyways, I get these "feelings" like I know when someone is present, and I did just then. Then I looked into my dining room, and in one of our lounging chairs, there was a dark figure sitting there, and it looked to be staring at the front door. From it's "shoulders" I could tell it was a man.. 30 seconds later, it sort of faded away..

Another time, in the middle of the day, my father wasn't home and I was just chilling in my living room. Suddenly, in the kitchen, it sounded like every single pot and pan flew out of the cabinets and slammed on the floor. It was one of THE loudest things I have ever heard in my life. Once, I got the courage to check it out, there was nothing. Nothing at all. AND, it was in the middle of the summer. That entire kitchen felt like it was winter: that's how freezing it was.

Here's also a few little things that have happened

* Furniture being moved upstairs when no one was up there

* The doors always being open even after closing them

* The channel being changed on you for no particular reason

* A voice screaming "Hey!" at you

* The sound of someone walking into the bedroom, and then hearing the bed creak

* The feeling of someone lying right next to you as you slept'

* rapid scratching at the middle of a door (we don't have cats or rats)

Those are just a FEW occurrences.

Luckily, we haven't had any activity for a few months. :)
It was a cool and still cloudless Colorado night. To the East and through the open door, the outline of Pike's Peak was visible against a starlit sky. The air sparkled metallic, as if the rules of science had converged, erasing the blur of crass sensibilities and leaving an etched and pure reality. It would be immoral to sleep through such a night.

My friend and I were doing a sleep-over in his haunted upstairs bedroom. Sam had told me about the haunted bedroom, and he warned me against ever staying there overnight. After three years of trying, Sam finally gave in, "Don't say I didn't warn you," was his smug assessment of the situation. It was adventure sleeping, as the room had no electric power or heat. The haunted bedroom was only accessible from the backyard by a single wooden staircase, there was no access to the bedroom from inside the house. The staircase ended at small landing, and door through which we could see an outline of the Rocky Mountains in the night sky from our bunk beds.

"Don't worry," Sam said, "it will come."
"Well, it better," I replied. "You said 'no lie' which means you can't lie."
"Memphis," Sam whispered. "No lie. No lie, it will be here."

Just as Sam finished reassuring me, we heard a metal clanging sound in the yard below the staircase. "Well, do you want to check that out?" asked Sam knowing fully that I didn't.

Suddenly our only opening to the outside, the doorway, became pitch black, and the room became cave like, the stars and sky erased by some evil force beyond the experience of a 12 year old kid. We could see nothing. I leaped down onto Sam's lower bed and grabbed his belt. "Do you believe me now?" asked Sam.
"What's going on?" I blubbered, not even trying to act brave. My back was against the back wall of the room, with Sam between me and the evil dark force around us.
"Its coming," answered Sam.
"It's so dark. We need to get out of here. What is it?" I blurted out in terror.
"There is only one way out, and that is down the stairway," Sam said. "There is no way out for us now."

The next thing I heard was a loud roaring sound, like a lion being tortured. The smell of rotting flesh, carried by a hot blast of humid air, rushed over me. I kept hold of Sam's belt and put the other hand over my head. Instantly I felt the bed being pulled toward the center of the room, and then just as fast, the bed was overturned and we were thrown into the wall. I felt my elbow penetrate the plaster; the top bunk came crashing down on us, and the violent impact caused me to loose my hold on Sam. I curled up in a fetal position, closed my eyes, and cried.

As suddenly has it had begun, the noise ended, and we could again see the bright Colorado sky through the doorway to the stairs, our vista toward Pike's Peak was again complete. The room was destroyed, but we were still alive.

Sam fell asleep an hour later, but I stayed awake the rest of the night, still clinging to Sam's belt. After all, it would have been immoral to sleep through such a beautiful Colorado night.Whats the scariest thing to happen to you? maybe paranormal?
When I was 5 we were sleeping in our room. Me and my sister shared a bunk bed. It was dark and around 2 or 3 am. I woke up to a spirit walking into our room. He was glowing green and was dragging chains with him. My sister was still asleep, but I got up and ran to my parents bedroom. My mom is a psychic so she went in there and commanded the thing to leave. Sure enough it did.

A few years ago, I went into our living room. It was midnight and everyone was asleep. I had this compelling feeling to go into our living room and take a picture. So I went into the dark living room, turned on the over head light and took a picture on my moms camera phone. What I captured shocked and terrified me. There was a black mass, almost like a black cloud covering up part of my moms doorway. After that I turned the light out and ran back to my room.

A year or so ago I was asleep, when all of a sudden I woke up. I was lying in bed and heard the clanging of two barbie cars banging together. I sat up and just listened. The energy in the room wasnt threatening and somehow I wasnt scared. I listened to it for about 5 mins. Then I looked over the edge of the bed hoping to catch it off guard. As soon as I did it stopped. No one was there, the noise had stopped. My mom said that she has seen a little boy around our house and this is her future child. Also my future brother has said my name around midnight on numerous occasitions.

Once I was taking a picture of myself through the mirror. In the picture was a tall dark figure standing behind me. However no one was there. That scared me.

I have more, but that is enough for now. lol
My father was... a drinker. And a fiend. And one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. Not-one-bit. So - me watching - he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it! Turns to me, and he says, "why so serious, son?" Comes at me with the knife... "Why so serious?" He sticks the blade in my mouth... "Let's put a smile on that face!" And...
