Have you ever been to jekyll island GA?? what did you think of the beach/water there?? ?

i was there last july and found the beach preety gross. my sister and i stopped swimming after a few minutes of wondering around in the very shallow water and there were ll these wierd holes in the sand that were like squishy or somthing. idk. maybe we just went at the wrong time of the year? have you all veer been there, waht did u think? and when aere the right times to go there? thxHave you ever been to jekyll island GA?? what did you think of the beach/water there?? ?
there are much better beaches. here is meant for people to walk along the ocean and not venture out into the water.
