My boyfriend and I are looking to go to the beach for the day. I have been reading up on what other people think and it seems everyone likes Jekyll Island and Tybee Island. We are looking to just relax and spend time together. We prefer a nice sandy beach, not rocky. Has anyone been to either beach? Are there good shells there and is the weather/water warm at this time (June/July)? And what are the best places to eat at and visit?

sandy - yes
shells - lots
eating - ocean plaza hotel resturant - or bubba's but thats a little far from tybee
dessert - ice cream place across the street
visiting - there isnt much to visit only beach
