If so, has it been a wise investment for you? I am thinking about purchasing a vacation club membership, but I have been screwed before. I purchased one in Cancun (like an idiot), and lost 2 grand. I have a mixed group of family that I usually travel with, and it takes 2 hotel rooms normally. I am wondering if it is cost effective to purchase the vacation club. I have 2 children 3 and 10 months and we plan to take them Disney once every 2-3 years, minimum. Advice from Disney vacation club owners would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you were planning on purchaseing and didnt , please let me know why. Thank you.Does anyone own a Disney Vacation Club membership....?
Hiya I am a DVC owner of 160 points which is the min that you can buy into to be a vacation club member. I love the flexibility of being able to use it at any resort in the collection at any time as long as there availability. You can also use it for the Disney places in California, Hawaii, Hilton Head, Vero Beach, Paris, Toyko. You can also use it for hotels outside of disney for a small booking fee. You could get a villa and stay in 1 villa. My small family of 4 usually does studios. They only thing for you is to way out the money options because if u don't go alot its really not worth it. We go Twice a year so that is why it a benefit for us.Does anyone own a Disney Vacation Club membership....?
As a 6-year DVC member, it is well worth it! We have been to the "world" 8 times and just got back from a Disney Cruise!
With your young kids, this will be a wise investment. Our vacations have already paid for the membership fees. You can also use your points on any Disney park, and Destinations by Disney world-wide.
I recommend you join!
