Does/Has anyone ever owned a Disney Vacation Club Timeshare? It is based on a point system with no blackout dates, 50 yr deed, cost is a little over 20k for 225 pts. We can also use it to travel to many destinations all over the world, including cruises. We enjoy staying at Deluxe Disney Resorts and would also like to travel to Europe or the Caribbean. Is it worth it? Is it difficult to sell in the long run? Please provide me with as much insight as possible.Looking to buy a Disney Vacation Club Timeshare. Is it worth it?
Timeshares are almost impossible to resell, unless you discount them at least 50%. They are not an investment, but rather they are puchasing future vacations now!
Research carefully before you spend your money, and do not expect to be able to resell the timeshare if you are not happy!

all the people i know with timeshares never use them, so think wisely before you buy! if your interested in a new way to vacation i suggest looking into a cruise, i just got back from my first...now thats the only way i'll vacation!!!
BUYING A TIMESHARE
Time-sharing can be an affordable way to own a vacation home. Before you buy, you should be able to answer YES to all these questions:
* Are you POSITIVE you want to spend ALL your vacations there?
*Have you visited the facility?
*Are you satisfied with its quality, with the stability of the management, and with the terms of the contract?
*Have you talked to some long-time owners in this time-share facility?
*Can you afford both the facility and the round trip travel costs each year?
DO NOT BUY IF:
* You want to rent out the facility.
* You plan on reselling it.
* You plan on exchanging vacation sites frequently.
Yes its worth it especially if you travel alot We bought a timeshare last summer
