To Anyone part of the Disney Vacation Club...?

To anyone who is a member of the Disney Vacation Club...

About how much do you pay each year to be a member, and how many points do you get?

I understand what you pay depends on the number of points you want to buy.To Anyone part of the Disney Vacation Club...?
The annual dues depend on what your home resort is. I have 200 points at Bay Lake, which has the lowest dues at 3.67 per point annually. I pay monthly at about $61. The highest dues are at Vero Beach (over $6). Most are around $4.50. The dues can increase each year, but increases are capped. They are far lower than room rate increases.

So, the home resort you select affects the dues, expiration year, and how soon you can make reservations (11 months out for the home resort, 7 months for all others). Currently, 160 points is the minimum from Disney, but you can buy any number of points you wish through DVC resales.

2009 Dues:

ANIMAL KINGDOM $4.85 (expires 2057)

BAY LAKE TOWERS $3.67 (expires 2060)

BEACH CLUB $5.00 (expires 2042)

BOARDWALK $5.21 (expires 2042)

OLD KEY WEST $4.73 (expires 2042 or, if extended, 2057)

HILTON HEAD $5.36 (expires 2042)

SARATOGA $4.33 (expires 2054)

VERO BEACH $6.40 (expires 2042)

WILDERNESS $5.03 (expires 2042)
For example:

in 2008 Old Key West Resort dues were $4.56 per point.

%26amp; Boardwalk Villas were $5.04.

%26amp; Villas at Wilderness Lodge were $4.87, they go up about 3.57% each year.

It also doesn't hurt to checkout a resale DVC. The Timeshare Store is very reputable for DVC resales. That way you can buy less points than the required 160 direct from Disney, and it's usually much cheaper. Add on later as you go and your vacation needs increase. To Anyone part of the Disney Vacation Club...?

It does depend on how many points you buy.

I have the minimum150 points and it cost $15k 4 years ago.

But if you go to Disney alot it pays for itself. You can also use your points in Disneyland, Disney Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc. the Disney Cruiseline or other trips to Europe!
heres all the info you need.
