If you have disney vacation club can you tell be the best part about it?
I am wondering weather or not to buy the timeshare.
Me and my husband love disney world and have a 16 year old daughter who loves it too.
we went this past christmas for the third time with us and her boyfriend and it got me thinking about buying into it.
I just do not know if my daughter will get bored going to disney, but she wants to go in February again so maybe not for a couple of years (me and my husband are not) . If i am not mistaken, if we do not want to go to the disneyworld in florida you can go other places too.is that true?
thank you for any tips or insider information !What are the benefits of Disney Vacation club?
Besides marrying my husband and getting a college diploma, DVC is one of the smartest desicions I've ever made. It's not even really a time share, you can travel all around the world using disney points (I went to egypt last year). I definitlley recommend it!
If you love Disney and travel a lot, it is a very smart investment. It will pay for itself in 5 years.
We have been members for 4 years and we love it.
You can go to any Disney resort around the world, use the Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney offers trips world-wide. We are planning to go to Italy in 2 years.
I forgot to mention that Disney Vacation Club is now building a resort in Hawaii also!.What are the benefits of Disney Vacation club?
I own a member ship and it's great... you save lots of $!
Check out the site they have testimonies. The flexibility is wonderful unlike other timeshares. Yea they have like 500 different locations (worldwide) you can chose from and disney cruise line. Beware you have to still pay yearly fees like $600 or something. The time share lasts for 50 years and you can pass it on to your children. If for some odd reason you don't like it you can always sell it. Highly recommended! :)
the best part is you can go just about anywhere in the world, not just Disney World or any of the Disneyland's. and it works on a point system. pretty cool.
Definitely go to www.disboards.com and check out the DVC section. The people that go there are real experts at the DVC timeshare. Personally I think it's a good investment, especially if you buy a resale contract- check out the resales at http://www.dvc-resales.com/. Just note that using your DVC is best at the Disney DVC resorts, you will not get the best use of your points by using it for other hotels on Disney property, around the world or by using it on a cruise. But note that you can buy a smaller contract, bank the points for a year, borrow against your future year, so you only go every few years. That way you can buy a smaller contract, only go every few years and not get bored. But like I said check out disboards.com and be sure to ask your questions there.
The answers you've gotten are correct. I'd just like to add to them. I had heard so many good things about DVC %26amp; tried to talk my husband into it but he was afraid to join. Then he heard it from some friends of his. We took the tour while we were there one year, %26amp; he was finally convinced. We've been members since 2003. It has been wonderful. We have a 17 year old daughter. So far we've only gone to WDW, but you can travel all over the world. We've stayed at the Beach Club, Saratoga Springs, %26amp; Kidani Village. We just bought more points at the new Bay Lake Tower. The rooms are fabulous %26amp; even the smaller rooms have kitchenettes. We've been to WDW 13 times. We always find new things to do. Each time we'll try a new restaurant or do one of the tours. The Keys to the Kingdom %26amp; Segway Tour in Epcot are great! Since your daughter is 16 she can take these tours now. You don't have to go to Disney every year. You can bank points. Find out the rules, because you can only bank so many for so long. The DVC people are really nice %26amp; never try to talk you into anything. There's no high pressure sales pitch. If at some time you do get tired of it you can sell it. (Disney gets first option to buy it back). This past summer we stayed at the new Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. My jaw dropped when I walked into our room. It was gorgeous! We didn't book a room with a view of the animals, but just walked down the hall %26amp; could see them. We had dinner at Sanaa one evening. They have floor to ceiling windows where we could see the animals while we dined. It was fantastic! They also have Boma's (a buffet) %26amp; Jiko's. They have a food court where you can get the mug that you can refill for free throughout your stay. They even have a bar by the pool where you can get your mug refilled. In the evenings we would fill our mugs %26amp; sit out on the terrace by the fire pit %26amp; watch the animals walk by. DVC also runs special events that are fun. When we were there they had DVC Wednesdays where they had this event that was like a game show %26amp; prizes. We went to the Bay Lake Tower event where we got a tour %26amp; a bag of freebies. They had a party with music, the characters, prizes, food %26amp; the great Disney ice creams. Have I convinced you yet? I don't work for Disney %26amp; I'm not even getting paid for this. LOL.
