I just got my disney vacation club. is was about $25k, it depends on when you plan to use your points and the size of the room.
Have fun and take the tour when you get to DisneyWhat is the cost to buy into the disney vacation club?
depends but i'd bring at least a couple(2) thousand just for hotels and tickets
The cost to buy into the Disney Vacation Club depends on how many points you buy. I would figure between $15,000-30,000 for a usable amounts of points...which I think is crazy...
Tell ya what I did..I have owned timeshare for 13 years and LOVE it! BUT, I never buy it retail off the primary market. I buy for pennies on the dollar off Ebay. Rarely, you can find someone selling Disney points on there....but if you are willing to be 1-3 miles off premises..you can by a 2,3 or 4 bedroom timeshare starting at around $500 and up on Ebay. Some even have 2 master suites in case you ever travel with 2 families or 2 couples. I have been to Disney 14 times and have stayed at or seen most of the timeshares in the area if you are not sure which ones are good. Email me, and I can help with that. But why pay big bucks to Disney, when you can use that money to spend on more vacations.....buy off the secondary market cheap...and enjoy!!What is the cost to buy into the disney vacation club?
From what I understand, it depends on the property you choose and the number of points you want to buy....
We might check into this when we go in October. I have a friend who has a DVC membership, and he loves it. He highly recommends it because of the flexibility - it's much better than a regular "time share" and has MANY more options! You aren't limited to vacationing during a certain time of year or even at one specific resort. You can use your points at ANY Disney property ANYWHERE in the world, and from what I understand, there are no black-out dates either. Definitely sounds like it's worth the money, but I'll have to let you know for sure later...
The number I have always heard is $22,000, you do not see a lot of Disney timeshares on the resale market because I think Disney has first refusal to repurchase your timeshare if you give it up, that way Disney adds to their inventory while protecting the market value of their timeshares.
