Disney Vacation Club..any thoughts?

Universally, timeshares are panned. People find out they are rip-offs. Disney's has a better name than other ones, but that is mostly because it is Disney fanatics who buy into it. Realistically, you better do some serious calculations and serious management to come out ahead.Disney Vacation Club..any thoughts?
We own Disney Vacation Club, it works for our family. If you travel to Disney every year and usually stay in a Deluxe level resort then it is a good deal. If you usually stay value and only go every five years, probably not. You need to look at how often you go and what level room you need (studio, one bedroom, two bedroom). From there you determine how long you go for and see how many points you would need per trip. Then you calculate the cost of the points, adding in the annual maintenance fees, and then divide it by the number of years you intend to do it.

You can use your points for cruises and to visit other vacation destinations, but your points don't get you as much as they do when you stay in a Vacation Club Resort.
I don't have it but I know families who do and my family has been looking into it a lot.

It's just to go to Disney World. With it, you can go to any Disney park around the world and even Disney owned hotels. You can go to locations like Hawaii and London. For the price, it's a good deal if you travel yearly.Disney Vacation Club..any thoughts?
We belong to the Disney Vacation Club. We got to WDW every year, so it's great for us. You get to stay in lovely places. I agree with Linda Ferry, that you need to check into %26amp; see if it works for you. When you go to WDW go to one of the DVC booths %26amp; sign up for a tour. They make it fun %26amp; there's no pressure.
We really like renting Disney Vacation Club points. There's no commitment, and you can get exactly what you need, when you need it. What's even better are last-minute specials that a couple of companies put out:

Hope this helps!
Only worth it if you plan on going every year.

I chose not to buy it since I wanna travel the world! I own with Wyndham instead... which also has locations very close to the Disney parks :)
