Southwest Airlines: Birth Certificate or I.D. card?

I'm fifteen and I'll be using SW airlines to travel. I've practically read through their entire website, but I can't remember if a minor needs an I.D. card or a birth certificate. I won't be traveling with a youth fare, and I will not be using the unaccompanied minor service.

I know that 18 and over are required to have photo I.D. to get through security, but can a minor get through with just a birth certificate?

Thanks in advance!Southwest Airlines: Birth Certificate or I.D. card?
Not enough info......where are your traveling to?

A valid passport is enough, whether it is domestic or international.

Well, in America, all you need is any type of valid identification, so I am pretty sure it should work, but I would double check with the American customs/immigration.

Try googling that, or find a number!

I really hope this helps!Southwest Airlines: Birth Certificate or I.D. card?
ID card is better cuz it has a photo of you and your first and last name. They like photos. You got a current school ID?

Birth certificates dont work as an ID. It just proves your citizenship
Minors technically don't need anything, and a birth certificate doesn't establish identity (and therefor doesn't establish that the bearer IS a minor...)
im 15 and fly southwest by my self all the time and i just show my id ether from my school or drivers permit but if you do not have those im sure a birth certificate will be fine.
